FOR DRIVERS

Your first EV charge, explained

Connectors, tariffs and the simple checks to make before starting a session.

Electric vehicle charging

Start with compatibility

Your vehicle and the charging point must use compatible connectors and supported charging modes. Check your vehicle handbook and the station's instructions. A higher advertised charger power does not mean every vehicle will receive that power: vehicle limits and charging conditions also matter.

Understand the price

A station may charge by energy, time or a combination of charges, depending on its published tariff and applicable rules. Energy is measured in kWh; power is measured in kW. Review any session, parking or idle fees before paying. Wouri's final launch tariffs and supported payment methods have not yet been announced.

Use the official station page

For Wouri's planned web-first experience, the station QR code opens a charging page. Check the address and station identity before entering information. If a QR sticker looks altered or the payment destination is unexpected, stop and contact the operator.

Confirm that charging has started

Follow the hardware's instructions. A payment confirmation alone is not proof that energy is flowing. Look for the charger and vehicle charging indicators, and use session progress where available.

Finish safely

Stop the session using the intended controls, wait for the connector to unlock and disconnect as instructed. Never force a locked connector. Keep the session or payment reference if you need help. Follow the vehicle and charger manufacturer's safety instructions at all times.

Wouri is in development. Pilot locations, payment providers and launch timing will be announced after validation.
